That time of year again:)

Hi folk.

Never thought I would be in this market again, but hell, it's not a bad place to be.

I need to employ a couple of instructors to assist me with the usual demand for introductory lessons/flights along the coastline over the festive season.

This service we supply to the holiday makers is an essential service both to the community of microlighters and to the tourism of our Province.

It is stunning work. You will meet hundreds of new people, many who will become life-long friends, and you will get to share the beauty of microlight trike flying along the stunning KZN North coast beaches.

The job calls for exceptional discipline, as the primary function of these flights needs to be remembered at all times - namely that you are doing lesson 3 Air Experience for a potential student. We have learnt over the years that many hundreds of current microlight pilots in SA have come from having done these very flights along the coastline. Why it calls for discipline is that it is easy to forget the importance of the flight, and the discipline required to keep it safe, when you are having fun flying happy passengers....... you need to remember they are potential students, and you are marketing microlighting to them.

Our industry deperately requires new students, and hopefully this December I will be able to send some student enquiries on to my fellow instructors around SA.

So, if you are keen to have some fun whilst earning some reasonable pocket money doing an awesome days work, let me know.

Please don't PM me, it is a hassle always having to log on. Please just reply to this message/topic. No reasons for secrecy folk. Or you can email me on comefly@mweb.co.za or call me on 084 266 3359

Thanks for reading.

Any lovely stories about your first flight in a trike down here which got you hooked on the sport are wellcome on this thread.

Last week I flew one fellow for 30 mins, and in that short time we saw dolphins, a Manta Ray (huge one), various rays, many turtles, and a 'sailing' whale. What made the sailing whale all the more special, was the fact that alongside her, was her approx 2 year old calf learning to 'sail' as well vhpy

Cheers and regards to all.

Hello Blue Max...... sorry, I don't understand your posting.

But yes, unless I should be posting this elswhere, it is directed at instructors. But I also invited anyone who had their first flight with a school doing intro flips to share that first experience.

cut and pasted herewith is something I received recently from a gentlemen............ read it and you'll see what I mean about what we do for folk when we perform these intro flights....... it is not 'just another flight'...

Nothing at all to do with the above, but you were a prime reason why my wife and I came to live in South Africa. We came to visit our Daughter and Husband in Jo'burg in June 2005 and decided to take a holiday in Ballito with them. Whilst we were there we found your airfield at La Mercy and were flown around the area by yourself and a guy named Brett Tungay, ZU-BHG being one of the flexwing's used. We were so blown away by the experience that on our return to England I immediately placed an order for a Foxbat, which I had admired for a while, and set in motion immigration to South Africa. We arrived in August 2006, my Foxie shortly afterwards, and we have never regretted the decision to come.

kind regards.

I would not mind doing a working holiday like that.
Taking people for flip / Intreductory flights. Definately worth it I would say.

But then again I Love sharing my Passion for aviation with anyone who is willing to Listen to my Crap. ($$) ($$) ($$) ($$)
