Hi All,

Can someone please tell me the TMA details around Worcester. My map shows the basics but is to large a scale for the fine details.
What height does the TMA start and end. Frequency? (I presume CT Approach). What area does it cover.

Thanks,
Ross

Worcester is under the Cape Town TMA E, which is from FL145 to FL085 - 119.7 if you want to go above 8 500'
... but why?

There you go Ross.

The blue area over worcester is FL085 to FL145 is the TMA where you need contact CT approach. 119.70 MHz. Approach will not let you go in their a lot. They normally ask you to stay clear.

FAD 157,

It's a General Flying Area, i.e. used by Worchester for training. Freqency would be 124.4 IIRC, ground to 7000ft, which is under the TMA.

Anyone would be able to fly there, just be aware of training and be on the lookout for other planes, in particular gliders, and make sure you are on the right frequency

Morph 100% correct. Don't forget the parachutes for Robertson as well.

Ross, when ever you see a FAD (Dangerous Area), FAR (Restricted area) or FAP(Prohibited area), you need to look it up in the AIP to make sure you know why the area is set out to be cautioned for so you know what to look out for. There is a couple in the western cape, like delta 200, koeberg powerstation etc. Make sure you what they mean.
