A personal mail to admin (at) microlighters (dot) co (dot) za will not be filtered out, we are suffering serious bot spam and we tend to not see the humans from the robots.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for letting registrations slip through, but we are 4 admins saving everyone else from the spammers, I think it a worthy sacrifice...

To people wanting to join - please be patient and one of us will try to respond as soon as possible!

We get hit with up to 300 registrations a day

here is a sample of the names
Innovator, blogcgreality, NemVerceNit613, simon, sandiegobk, sddivorce, ZEMIBREERTY, XimenaCyr, wearcaple, tumumpexy, Boelcke, Whattproria, Heammakylew, good magazine, exsilebizz, viffUnodixBix, Accelpreilm, billyxav, Zurebinzeh, thurman7bc, insave, jimojwuqabiiv, melissagibso, Offerfassaby, wemyanimake, DaxunfiniaHen, maxmillspace, DavidBlacky, sabestyan2pattyp5, Serjxlpt, FlowerHand, BigAppleb, jeownoccuck, Detgobosteorn, 23Feldtun, LeupoldEst, Nownabah1965, Arrodonef, titedigma, jorndinny, ZenCipsypepece, inokihewja, Poopyny, queedgewoorne, IrreseClotogs, clast

I manually scan every one and unless they are Afrikaans, make some sense or are aviation related, they get turfed into cyberspace

I suggest we change the wording on the registration page to insist on a logical name. for example, a reg EPH, Morning Flyer, Flippie, Arend, etc it makes the selection criteria a lot easier

also gmail is the biggest culprit. Use a different address and you will get through.

Multi pronged approach. Taken some effort to get there as we too suffered similar levels of spambots. We are now down to a few (less than 5) a month so happy with being able to allow user based activations. But as with any approach - there is always some 'cost' or inconvenience.
