A question - whate the opinion on mansfield finally hanging up his microphone. ?? - ill start, i couldnt be happier, i think its high time Highveld revise there line up and got rid of the deadwood. Mansfields filled with self importance, Sams, a whiny old goat and i wont ven get into that useless git who calls himself a comedian. !! Glad mansfields gone, can we now get a new lineup which will hopefully also not include Alex jay who should also have been put out to pasture years ago...COME highveld heres your opportunity to do something FRESH !!!

Not intended to be harsh - just tired of the mundane rubbish they presented every morning, and Whackhead ??// ... lets be honest..?? - - Agreed 5 is terrible, Jacaranda has its moments and john Robbie just TOOoo depressing . !! Doesnt leave us with buckets of options ... so heres the opportunity to get something, fun, upbeat, quirky and informative, fresh new presenters and ideas... i dont know - perahsp its just me but i thought thet were TIRED

Yeah, yeah, the Broadcasting industry is a fickle one - I am sure Agent will concur. The self importance issue - in a sense you have to see that as a by product of what these guys do - they have to be extremely confident and sometimes even egotistical in order to do what they do. You wont get a timid person placing themselves out there to speak to the masses.

And leave Alex alone - my hero he was in the Jay Thang days. Best day of my life - spent a whole show with him when I was in the infancy of my broadcasting career - learnt heaps from him, and also got to drive the Camel Pyramid of Light one night with him one evening. Now showing up my age

Sky - Alex jay WAS an insitution for all of us, I agree, I met him and enjoyed him and the camel pyramids of light while he was at five. I enjoyed Jason Roberts (quiet storm on a sunday night, would often sit in the studio with him) too, was good mates with him, Lance Rothschild, Tony Blewitt, Ashley Hayden , Cleone Cassidy and all were mates of mine. But those were the 80's and nineties..??

All greats IN their TIME - so for that matter were Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe, Ili Nastase, Jimy Connors, and ths list goes on. NOT an attack at Alex per se, just an opinion that its maybe time for him to stick to voice overs...

Im simply saying that the its time for a fresh opportunity, fresh voices and shows??? In the beginning of the rude awakening it was riske and naughty, fun to listen to.. everyone would ask if they had heard what mansfield said that morning... after ten + years everyone was saying strewth its tired now. .... same as Gareth Cliff and Darren Scott... ??

Only an opinion, based on what ive heard from mates and people around and about.... general consensus is that its time... (for africa - ha ha waka waka) -

The thing that irritates me with Alex Jay, is the funny little noises and the "Good grief!" , as well as from a long time back, we had to endure the recordings of his daughter's first words etc..

As far as I am concerned, it's a public show, not a personal platform...
