Well, maybe not neighbours, as such - the Northern Cape is not _such_ a small place ;-) .

Only vaguely avaiation related - as it seems one of their BIG problems is getting it NOT to take off!

AndyG, you must get yourself a "Long haired dictionary", aka an Afrikaanse girlfriend, and then you too can go through the trouble to learn a second language, like I HAD to. My first GF was English speaking. My Mother did not like her. ( She was much too sexy for Mom`s liking) But she was a good teacher, she taught me a LOT of things, amongst others, how to speak English!

There is talk that these guys are wanting 6 trikers to join them on this speed attempt. Apparently to fly up and down the intended race strip to prevent birds or other obstructions get in the way.

Boet, ek is heeltemal tweetalig. Ek jok net. Maar ek hou van die idee van die lang hare woordeboek. Ek moet eers my vrou se toestemming kry. Lekker dag verder maat.

These guys are going the opposite way to us... We look for ways to fit car engines to aircraft. They look for ways to fit aircraft engines to cars!

I must admit - I wouldn't mind an aircraft fitted with their 'car' engine  .
