Howdy ZULU1,
But then, with all those taxiways, who needs the runway?

Hey Paul, next time you fly that way, do a low fly-buy about halfway down the runway, and you will see why the XXX's are there. The last time i flew there, there were telephone wires across the runway towards the tower!!

Unfortunately we can longer pop in for Coffee, so we must move on. Suppose that we really had the best of it, fitting transponder yesterday realized that we have to move with the times...I have no idea about the swallows but they certainly have plenty supporters.
But I attach a pic to make any ex North Coasters "homesick" taken this morning. The Tugela doesnt change and the fisherman "and all" failed miserably with that dirty water...What is becoming more evident though is the significant reduction in "Tin Aerie" traffic from Virginia. Dont know why ?

Hey Paul and others.......
At a meeting with CAA on Thursday, the ATNS requirement/recommendation that transponders be mandatory on aircraft operating out of Groutville was reviewed by CAA, and the CAA ruled that NO TRANSPONDERS required. Just need to have a meeting with ATNS and put some SOP's in place.
So all systems go now. That was my last hurdle.
Cheers.

That can only be good news Dave, and the fact that you dont need to carry fuel anymore is a bonus. We used to taxi to the pumps, I never owned Gerry cans. The logic is to teach PPL students as well. They are immediately in the GFA. It will make a PPL cheaper and also I foresee a migration from Virginia..
Heres a Pic and I await the construction of a Coffee shop "La mercy style" which was still the best in my book...
Keep going
