I have just learned that he has passed on.
Very sad that a Man of his knowledge and skill in aircraft engines and flying is not even worthy of a mention here by any of his so called "Friends" that obviously knew.
Farewell Clinton...you were one in a million. (-) (-) (^^) (^^)
Graham Mac,
It's a pity that you don't confirm a rumour before posting it. Clinton is fine and doing well and his wife advised this morning after a phone call that he was in great shape when she left for work this morning. Whilst the effects of Clinton's stroke has left him impaired when it comes to speech, he lives a comfortable life.
Steve
i have pm 'd you a few times to ask how Clinton was and no reply.
Difficult to get the facts straight when the people in the know like you dont reply.
I have no contact details for Clinton so have no way of verifying the information i got from Fred who said he knew him well and misinformed me of his passing.
Anyhow i will leave it there for now.
All the better that Clinton is good....AT LEAST NOW I KNOW HOW HE IS.

On a lighter side, a good friend of mine was pregnant. Groot maag and all.
Months later I saw her again, she was rather bloated (huge) and in all male ignorance I asked her when she was expecting.

Baby had been born 4 months previously. Jislaaik, what a box I felt.

Misinformation, Clinton never built Savannahs he built Skyrangers and Delta trikes. His "Friends" have kept contact with him and would have let you all know if something had gone wrong. We are NOT fair weather friends. Contact number for Denise is 0824586656.

Clinton and denise sold their house and are renting a property nearby with a view. He has withdrawn from visiting the airfield by own choice and appears not to want to have contact wih flying . His wife is looking after him and he is healthy but cannot speak coherently. i am not aware if he can use a computer or has one

Graham Mac,
I've looked through my PM's Inbox which are all still listed way back to November 2007. I have ZERO pm's from you and the last PM I received from anyone enquiring about Clinton was by "Duck Rogers" on the 26th February 2010 - so perhaps you might like to retract your statement "people in the know like you dont reply"

In your post on this thread on the 1st feb 2010, you made this comment:
Graham Mac wrote:got the SMS from Denise today notifying of Clintons Sroke.
So if you have an SMS from Clinton's wife, why haven't you kept in touch with her and enquired from time to time?

Making snide remarks about Clinton's friends in your earlier post was a little uncalled for:-
Very sad that a Man of his knowledge and skill in aircraft engines and flying is not even worthy of a mention here by any of his so called "Friends" that obviously knew.
Not to mention the rough time you gave his wife today who had to field many phone calls from individuals trying to offer their condolences after reading your post.

Then when it turns out that you made a post claiming that Clinton was deceased after listening to a rumour, you at least make the statement:-
Graham Mac wrote:Guess i feel like a Doos now as well.
But then you decide to blame me for not responding to your PM and updating you (which you never sent me in the first place)

I really don't think having a debate over the merits of lost communication will be of any benefit to either of us, or the microlighter community. The fact remains that for some or other reason, I never received or read the message you refer to. (My Microlighter's PM box only has a dozen or so messages and none from you)

In any case, this topic is not about us, but about an individual who has been through a rough time after having a massive stroke and all his loved ones who care for him.

Here is a picture of Clinton taken in July this year...

Appologies for any heartache caused to friends or family.
Give him my warmest regards if you can Steve.
I wont be getting to your part of the world for a long time.

In Italy we say that if someone says, because of bad information, that someone is dead when that is not true you give the "dead" many more years of life! I hope this will be true for mr. Clinton! (^^)

Okay Chaps... I have deleted Graham Macs 'offending" post... which I honestly think bore no malice. I accept the sensitivity of the issue, no partner ever wants to be recieving those kinds of calls but no harm was intended, a miscommunication or lack of caused an awkward situation, lets leave it at that.

Glad Clintons on track and wish him all the best...
