Clip of landing on mountain (STOL)

Postby kobusf » Sun Nov 08, 2009 8:53 am

3-4 months ago there was a post of an aircraft landing on a mountain slope and also taking of with extreme STOL performance.

I have searched high and low but cannot seem to find this. Does anyone have the link to this?

Regards

There ya go!

This may be the guy you are looking for, look through his movies, he posts a lot, all good.
My all time favorite is the dead stick takeoff.
BTW the plane is a Highlander kit plane from Just Aircraft in the USA, Rotax 912ULS power. Similar to the Kitfox/Safari/Explorer airframes but has ailerons and flaps.
I like it a lot and that wing design in in our future planning at Kitplanes for Africa.
Enjoy

HI Mogas

Not the one, but still very impressive. I think it was possibly the same aircraft type. The one I'm looking for was landed on a hill. Take off was +- 10 metres.

Thanks Mogas
