Hi folk.

Can any-one help me with contact details for the owners of the airfield on the Prieska side (Western Side) of Douglas.

Also who do I contact for the Douglas Town Airfield.

I require hangarage and operating permission for our December Hang Gliding Camp. Last year we operated out of Postmasburg, and the year before that Prieska. Both those camps were hugely successful, and this year we are looking to crack the World Record Tri-Angle. The current World Record holder for a Tri-Angle flight is joining us on this camp. For this reason we would like to base in Douglas, as that offers us a Tri-Angle flight from Douglas to De-Aar to Prieska and back to Douglas... If we can crack that one, a definate World Record!

Also required is B&B accomodation for about 8 folk all under one roof. Ideally we like to have the entire B&B to ourselves, as we operate really irregular hours, with pilots returning all hours of the night after being retrieved from out-landings.

So, any-one kind and helpful enough to pass on some information, we will be very grateful.

You can either reply to this mail, or PM me, or email at comefly@mweb.co.za or on 084 2663359

Thankyou.

David Daniel

The guys to speak to there are either Anton van Wyk (Anton Avgas) or George Zondag...

Will see if I can get their contact details for you David!

Hey whaddaya mean, fly it there?.......... I drive that creature there low level

Thanks Jon......... Postmasburg, as a result of all the construction happening there, just has NO accomodation at all, so Douglas it has to be. But this is not a bad thing at all, as the road infrastructure leading South out of Postmasburg caused huge extra km's in retrieval. Douglas has great road infrastructure leading in any direction...

Hope to get some good news soon.

Cheers.

David

Have you touched base with James Braid (jbraid.wits at gmail.com), the floppies are also going to be in the environs, they have over the last few years visited just about every 1 horse there. may as well share info & thoughts on where the trough line is overdeveloping.
