Question
Where in GP do you get a taildragger rating for RPL (or MPL) if you do not have your own plane?

Anyone know if Tailie training can be done all way to PPL on a Cheetah? Am investigating feasibility of tailie training in RPL, MPL environ. (I miss my cubby). Anyone know what insurance issues are? (Rates for H&F, Initial ans well as convex only?) Self insure just too dam difficult (practically)

Any schools out there looking for a tailie to provide said training if aerie was available? Is there any deamnd? (I have school intereted, but utilisation will be too low to justify I think?)

I have delutions of grandeur of starting my own little om die dammer TAILIE school, but it seems demnad for traillies is dead....?

Comments?

Hi George,

I know LSA at Rhino park are looking for a tailie to do training on, they are quite busy with more instructors than planes. They have lots of people who want to do conversions as well, currently they use private planes at Rhino but the insurance is difficult if it is on an ad hoc basis. They have one of the most experienced tailie instructors around.

Yes, you can do all the way up to PPL in a Cheetha.

If you need contact details let me know, hangar space can also be organized.
Regards,
Rudi

Yeah I think that the demand is pretty low. I found out about insurance rates for insuring an airplane fully for training - looked like around R3000/pm.
