Hi guys.

Anyone on this forum ever bought a new trike in kit form? I see on Aerotrikes website one has an option of buying in the form. Just wondering how much assembly is required? And the biggest question is does one save a few bob?

No. Just finding out. Because I allready told the wife that one day I want my own trike again. And I would only be happy with my current trike or new. But with the new ones being so expensive I am just wondering if kit form would be a better buy.

As far as I know, you can't build the Aerotrike's from kits. However, you can do this with the Aerotrike Cheetah (3 Axis)
When they ship overseas they will dis-assemble parts of the trike (Landing gear, wing, etc.) and put it in a crate for shipping. This is what they did with Mike Blyth's trike if you remember the beggining of 'South to South'.
The Aerotrke website is very old. Your best option would be to contact them directly: 011 817 2298 - sales @ aerotrike.co.za (remove spaces)
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Ross
