Propeller comparison

Postby Kingfisher » Wed May 20, 2009 3:51 pm

Can anyone give me input on the following ;
Windlass trike with cutback windlass wing , 503 DCDI , E Box 3.47 Ratio.
Currently has a 72" x 30" Pitch Ivoprop (Older type)
Which would be a better prop with this combination & why.
72" x 46" P-Prop or NC 3-Blade. I prefer to support the local guys.
Kiev prop is nice but a bit pricey for me.

What do you want, smoothness or performance

Smoothness go for the 3-blade, performance the P-prop

If it's looks you want, wood is always prettier

convenience wise, a 3-blade is ground adjustable and you can set it up to your exact requirements.

I agree with Morph. Had a 3 blade warp then changed to P-prop on 503 Aquilla. The P-prop was ever so slightly rougher but it was asif it bit into the air nicely. Looked and sounded nice as well.
I sometimes get confused............But i'm not sure
