Before I say anything else, congratulations to the MORPH for becoming a Granddad. May you live long to enjoy the offspring of the one to whom you gave live too in the beginning.

Ek is jammer also for being in the wilderness for so long. I ask your forgiveness assebelief. Twice now I have tried to post this topic, thumbs crossed that this time I am successfull. I must be losing my internet connection during typing I suppose.

Difficulty I am finding to accept what I have given up in the Uk to live here in SA. Three more years in the prison and our mortgage (Bond) would have been paid with two pensions to exist on at our disposal. Safe we would have been in our welfare state. Now I have to rely on a a greedy, incompetant and corrupt government for our future - nuff said ok? >;(((

Negatives and positives. These emotions rule our existence, so lets have a look see at the negatives of living here in SA. Stupidity, incompetance, apathy, corruption and crime is normality here. Even the government and its members are experts in all those things and the population pays the price. The same can be said for other countries including the UK, so why did my softness and I come to SA? Answer: Quality of life in our declining years. My Wife has found it with her Daughter and Grandson just five minutes away. I am finding it much harder to accept, but one morning I hope to wake up to the realisation that I made the right choice, despite the efforts of showerhead and his group of incompetant Bee idiots.

There is much I wish to say right now, especially about the future of SA an I intend too, because I and my Family am now part of that future. In the meantime, greetings to you all on my 62nd year and ek is jammer for my Salt #enis arrogance.

Alles van die beste (^^) (^^)

PS: We have no furniture still. Cardboard boxes make gr8 bedside tables beside the borrowed beds. There will be a house warming one day. Asseblief come. All will be welcomed. We have a land line now 015781 2119

Many happy returns on your birthday, may you have many more.
Old african sayoing:- Africa is not for sissies and you definetly are not a sissie.
I am sure in a couple of months time you will feel much better.

Kind regards,

Happy Birthday, have one on us.

The realization of such a different life will probably never settle. To be frustrated at every form of incompetence or difference will just drive you to depression. Roll with the punches and learn to give some too.

Its hard to fathom how so many can share the same beliefs, like 2010 is going to solve all life’s inequalities, a corrupt leader with just a high school education is the same as most of us so he’s well suited for the job e.t.c. It’s also not so much as supporting values but job security in the government sector.

When you again travel abroad to monotonous efficiency and land back in SA amongst the chaos and inefficient bureaucracy, you’ll join with everyone amongst you and say”It’s good to be back home”

You just gotta get out more. :)

Congrats on your first "African" birthday, Uncle Spud. Hope that all your days of the rest of your life in Africa are the best days of your life. And the good thing about all this incompetance, is that it makes us normal people that's sometimes not so competent, look like rocket scientists.

Also, welcome back and we hope to see and hear that BEEEEEGGG spirit of the Uncle that he had before he came to this BEEEEGGGG lovely place.

All of the best and good luck for keeping sane (^^) (^^) (^^) .

Dankie youse guys, baie dankie.

What I wrote was too short and too abrupt, jammer so I am (**) should have written under less of the influence and taken more time. Have more to say later about our journey and plans for the future but in the meantime I am building shelving in the garage so the snakes can curl up where I can see them.

Being here in SA is not the same as planning to be here as I will tell later and the disapointments have been many, but. Here for a reason we are and we are here because we are meant to be here. One day I will know why and Wallaby my friend, I too look forward to the time when I can stir up some k@k and get you fellahs hunting for Salt #enis blood. Good point about 2010 btw. Have much to say about that so I have heheheheheheh s024 s024

Finally: My sympathy to all those who have suffered sadness since I have been away, and a smile for all the good things that has happened for others.

Now big breaths and short prayer that this message sends when sent -------- TIA

Alles van die beste (^^) (^^)

Hehehe, the bushveld and the snakes....... This time of the year there's quite a lot of snakes, but in two months time they will be gone. I guess you had some close calls with our scaly friends then? At least you have much to tell your friends in England. What a boring life they must have without dangerous snakes   .
Have a wonderful, hot South African day.
Cheers
