It is a private airfield "Farm Sterkfontein" on "Easy plan", it is situated just north of Krugersdorp airfield.

Hi Pierre, I often fly in that area (from Crosswinds) but have yet to see any movement there, have done some touch and go's there aswell. When do you fly or is that a secret  You must pop in for coffee at Crosswinds some time

As jy nou GROOT k@k wil sien, dan moet jy daar touch 'n go of land as Oom Piet daar is....
Moenie laat hy jou vang nie..........hy haat trikes en trike pilots soos die runderpes van ouds...

Apparently that's what happens when your prop departs your airplane ;-)

Thanks For the warning Duck
Does he perhaps come from FAKR or does he just descrimenate against Trikers in general
It's a pity because we all love the passion of flying and I fly both PPL and MPL and does not think the one is better than the other one
But I will stay well clear of him in the future
Anybody is welcome at our strip though, blikkies and trikes

Stephan, am still trying to fly the proving flight hours, the weather is just not playing along, have done about half of the hours.

Andre, thanks for the invite, will certainly make use of your offer for the coffee, please Pm me with your number so I can phone before I come over. . As for the story that Oom Piet is discriminating against trikers it is untrue, he has a passion for flying and lives for it, he is only trying to minimize activity at the airfield to avoid any conflict with the nabors, that is noise etc. We fly every weekend, if weather permits, we normally takeoff early in the morning and fly to a "fly in" or for breakfast at Parys, Brits or Rustenburg and return around mid day.

Good stuff man. Weather is turning for the better now so soon you'll have those hours knocked off.
