So how steep is insurance on trikes?

Best is to take out insurace for when the plane is on the ground only. Estimate it being R150 to R300 pm. Then you should be covered for theft and damages within the hanger. Hanger fees range from R450 pm to R750pm.

Apparently the best quotes come from Alexander Forbes so give them a call and see what you can get. Quotes I got from Aircrew financial services was not funny BUT it was on a hire&fly basis not for an aircraft I own. Perhaps if you own it and has reasonably high experience it is more acceptable.

Anything from 1.8% to 9% of hull per annum is what I have seen poeple brandish about - so you really have to call and get specific numbers for your situation.
Just look at this thread - basically covered the same thing about a week ago.
