OCTOBER 2007 - G:So did she tell you anything about the other 4 issues due out in 2007?

T:Yes, Gert, she did... and yes, they will be. And if everything goes according to plan there will be 11 issues of African Skies next year.

So then, is it safe to asume that since we did not receive the remaining copies for 2007 the magazine has now been discontinued and that subscribers will receive a refund. And don't tell us that we will be receiving one magazine every week until the rest of the year.

Ja, I am also missing four editions..............................

And I am of the opinion that we do have grounds to feel aggrieved......!!!

To put it mildly..........

Hi guys, my sincere apologies but despite all my efforts to make a total of 6 issues for 2007, I have not managed to meet this target.
I can confirm that Issue 3 will be delivered next week and Issue 4 will be out early January.
I will keep the frequency to 6 issues for 2008.
Direct subscriptions will be carried forward and will receive renewal notices as and when they become due - there is no loss of subscription fees.
I have been informed by Mike Blyth that the accounts of subscribers who signed up through Aero Club have been credited by Aero Club for the last 3 issues of 2007. If anyone has any queries about their subscription status, please contact me on my cell or email so that I can check and advise soonest.
African Skies is the adventure flying magazine that is here to stay, with cover to cover news, views and events about sport and recreational flying.
My thanks and appreciation to all the readers, contributors and advertisers for your understanding and continued support.
I can't do this alone, so please let's pull together to make this work.
There have been hassles with magazines going missing in the post, so I've even suggested couriering batches of individually addressed mags to the various airfields, clubs, schools, etc. where practicable for the regular flyers to collect. I am awaiting feedback from the various regions and anyone who would prefer to receive their mags in this way should please let me know asap.
