More seriously. I can make fun of the non-delivery of a magazine I subscribed to up to a point. I am yet to receive an African Skies, and have decided to stess no more. Have cancelled my subscription. This is ridiculous. And no word from Ms Heron.
Gert, no word :?: On the contrary, I mailed you a breedvoerige PM reply immediately on receipt of your PM.... so what do you call that, I wonder :?:

Evidence...

...  :P And here is a copy of my PM to Gert in case anyone is interested:

Subject: Re: F%k%l
Goeiemore Gert
Have posted you two envelopes containing two mags in each - since it clearly did not reach you yesterday am, should be tomorrow... unless Slaapstad is on a double dose of ZZZs. In addition to having posted separate envelopes off to the rest of the Morning Star subscribers, I have also despatched a courier parcel of 20x mags with special instructions to deliver to Morph at his office tomorrow morning before 10am. In fact, I had intended for this parcel to have been delivered to him at Morning Star yesterday morning, but the instructions were changed to the above at his request in view of their fly/drive-away to Saldanha, and he was concerned that there would not be anyone at Morning Star to receive it.
So - my sincere apologies that you are still waiting, but I have really done all I can with the despatches of July/August: the EAA courier despatches delivered before 10am on Tuesday, all individual envelopes posted to subscribers, contributors & advertisers, all local personal deliveries made by myself.
I'll quickly make a call to John van Niekerk (cell 082 774 4586), President of EAA Chapter 592 Cape Town and see if we can make another plan to get a copy to you asap, so please just sit tight for a moment.
The next issue won't be running late if the various contributors do their thing and get their promised content to me asap - what I've got so far is already being worked on.
Groetnis
Trixie
PS - Have just spoken to John v N and yes, he does have spare copies of the mag left, over and above those provided for his EAA members - unfortunately they are at his office and not at home, therefore getting a local buzz-about delivery to pick it up from him in Retreat or Paarden Eiland is not possible before office hours tomorrow am.
So, next best thing, I will rather speak to Morph to try to get a copy from him to you asap after he receives the courier delivery tomorrow morning.
Will definitely do better next time, so that I won't keep you waiting again.
The most sensible solution will be to send one huge batch by overnight courier delivery to Morpheus for handing out to all the Morning Star subscribers as well as the additional copies for selling at the club to non-subscribers.
T

Ja,ja....ja Gert. Jy't nou jou punt gemaak.
Almal het mos nou al gesê en laat weet waarom die ding laat is en ons almal verstaan en aanvaar dit so.
Wees nou rustig man. If the next issue is late, then you'll have every reason to chuck your toys out the cot and cancel your subsciption.
Good luck with the competition.

Gert
I would hate to work in theatre with you!!
You are obviously a real stickler about "issues", but it isn't necessary to ALWAYS moan.
Lets hear more positive "Gert" comments - more like the great news you write on your website.
