Hi Alpha, just remember to stay North of the SA Mint (restricted). The new route runs north of the Mint so you should not route directly for the shell ultra city?

Hi Bundy,

Thank you for the info, I will keep that in mind. Does anyone hangar at Petit or Microland that knows of a spot for the night before the 18th. I want to hangar in that area as I will be staying in bonaero park that night and would like to be closer to my trike. So any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and keep those forms going we want as many trikes as possible.

Fly safe.

That's correct vhpy

No, technically, you should only be turning right at the N14/R55 intersection and not at the N1. If you turn before that you're still in Watekloof CTR and will be deviating from the designated Pinedene Route? Also turning right before the R55/N14 intersection will take you over a "built up area" ie. Eldoraigne and Weirda Park.
Looks like a bit of pain in the @ss as you're now travelling further and will be approaching FASK from the South West.
That's the way I read it .........http://web.eject.co.za/seffriken/Pinede ... %20Map.PDF and http://www.caa.co.za/resource%20center/ ... 0Route.pdf
Anyone else seeing it differently?

Mr Rodgers, you are 100% correct.

BUT... I think last year they routed all planes approaching from the south along the R101 (Parralell to N1) directly in to SK. This route also gives us the "shortest" route over the built up areas? If we fly all the way to the R55 interchange it doubles the length of time we will be over the residential areas. (to be honest I am not looking forward to this part!)
I am sure ATC will do the same this year due to the expected volume of traffic along that route.
I have followed the route on Google and it seems logical to route in from N1.

I guess we will get instructions from them though

Hey Duck,

Thanks again, you are right, I have not flown the route since October last year, so thank you for all the advice and help. Are you going to be flying in to FASK on the 18th?

Regards (^^)

If I can get a backseat with someone, I would love to go! Unfortunately my Mother-in-law's broom is in for repairs and my build is not complete yet, so I'm without wings :(

Hi Les,

How many confirmed pilots and planes have we got at the moment? Are we doing it in the same format as we did last year?

10 days and counting.
