Hello Helga.......... welcome to the group of long distance flyers......we are only a few.

Many dream, many yearn, but not many can......... Not that they are unable, just 'living life' gets in the way...

It's a special thing, that yearing to explore distance horizons eh?

Some soaring birds of prey cover between 4 and 800km per day in their quest.....

I wish you many, many more beautiful adventures.

Cheers.

Oh the wonderful Namib! One can only imagine the excitement and then finally making the trip! I really wish I could do the same! We live on a farm near Otjiwarongo, the farm is Okaputa (FYKP), next time you decide to do a trip, stop, sleep, share stories etc. We had two microlighters touch down here two days ago, they came from Marienfluss, it was already dark when they arrived, but they used to own the farm, so landing in the dark was no real issue for them.

I saw that you stopped in Vryburg, a lovely little place, we used to live there, hope they treated you to some good old Molopo hospitality.

Hope to see you all one day here in the beautiful Namib, and happy flying!

I flew and saw the halo around my shadow on the cotton clouds, and I knew that this must be heaven.
