Right then lads, Down to business.
Zulu1 posted a nice note to me. Started of Dear Mr Murphy (Part Irish): Veeeerrryy formal. I had to go away and put on a tie before reading the post. Quote "You will discover that South Africans are not whingers and moaners, but very positive pro-active people". Absolutely right Zulu1 and I do not need to live there to know it. Couple of visits to our Daughter in Phalaborwa (Hot) were enough to convince me that SA is where I want to be - Finally, the softness now agrees. So look out SA cause here we come (When some good soul buys our house).
There is more my friends. JetRanger tells me that SA people stick together and help each other out without expecting anything in return and I have witnessed that giving attitude when they shaved my head for R50 - My R50 - in Phalaborwa (Hot) on one visit along with a hundred others and one Lady who I will never forget, who had her head shaved also for charity. You will never see that in England. My regret was not giving her R100 right then and there and I still bitterly regret not doing that. So tell me, why the fcuk are we not doing the right thing for everyone in regards to contributions to the forum? Why is it being left to the few for the many to enjoy? Now surely, that is not the SA way is it?
I believe I saw figures 1984 registered members the last time I looked. Agreed b4 the comment is made, there's not that many who post but I bet there's a hell of a lot who read the forum and benefit by it and take notice of the good advice being given to questions asked. I am building up to something and you know it don't you and the something I am suggesting is that everyone should contribute to the forum.
Microlighting and flying in general is not a cheap pastime as you all know. Once you have your rod's and tackle, fishing is not that expensive. The same I suppose applies to Biking, once you have your bike and bikers use their machines for work and pleasure. How many of you go to work on a microlight? Flying is not cheap so again tell me, how much is R50? It is about half a bottle of Klipdrift or just over, is it not? Wouldn't it be just great for microlighters.co.za to benefit from an annual income of R1.190400. That's R50 a month gents. That is not a lot to ask for and everyone would benefit by it. We have the means and we have the bank account now all we need is the will.
I am not a financial wiz kid, fcuk I am 61 and poor as a rabbit (Though I do have a burrow) but so much could be done with that level of income in the right place. For example: Microlighters/Flyers who have accidents could benefit from machine repair and medi care removing worry from themselves and their Family's at times of need when they least expect it. No free medical here mate, you pay for it but we can all help each other and I bet that there are a lot of other ways we can - STICK TOGETHER - if we put our minds to it.
Right you are then, I have said my piece and I trust I have shown respect. I also have the most god awful habit of putting my foot in it for the right reasons so if you wish to disagree with what I say then speak your mind, because I will listen. What was the answer Morph gave when he was asked how the finances are doing. I cannot rightly remember just now. Look it up my friend. This is an outstanding forum. I have learned more in a week than I would after spending months in a library. and that is a very big YA. Lets help each other shall we?
Alles van die beste to all you fine folks
