Collection would have been Saturday. Trailer mod. measurements and steel cutting was finished by Jenya on Friday - but his welder didn't pitch...

BUT 100% confirmed - collection on Wednesday! I have a meeting in PTA Wed morning - from there of to Petit for a briefing on the new pre-flight checks, dis-assembly and re assembly steps, and then of to Poloks! (^^) via N1! (**)

I know, I know... putting Trikes on trailers...  .

But it is either this, or waiting some more days / weeks. And I want my trailer handy since I will be the ONLY trike in Poloks..you never know when you might have to make a call and ask for collection somewhere in the bush..

( Must admit - sounds like I will be trailering a bit more since it is now so EASY!)  (**)

Meanwhile - my licence renewal was done - thanks Nicow.. (^^) , and in the process I am now rated on all Rainbow trikes! (^^)

Arrival Wednesday evening. Rigging somewhere over Thursday and Friday. First take-off from Poloks next Saturday. PLEASE? (**)

We arrived by N1 just before 21h00. The Witchy Woman is standing 2 metres from my front door, on her modified trailer - who just proved itself over 320km..

Over the next two afternoons various rigging and CLEANING  exercises will take place,

AND THEN

Saturday morning will see a VERY clean, shiny, fully compliant Yellow Witch taking me up where I belong! Maybe a visit to Potties if the weather is lekker..

Pics will follow!

(^^)

PS: Hopefully the whole bosveld will here me transmitting on my new Airmagic system + V Rabbit - beautifully installed by Andre Maartens. And hopefully I'll hear everybody clearly through my YELLOW airmagic headsets!

Thanks Bundy for conveying it up and down! (^^)

Thanks Bugwar for taking my trailer to Petit! (^^)

Thanks Witchy Woman for busting my purse - I'll never sell you - can't afford to! We'll just keep on upgrading you!! (You OWE me good performance.....)

Asterix wrote:One of the best things that could have happened to "The Yellow Cobra" was the selling of GeelKerneels. Although it took me some time to get over my loss, I am starting to slowly but surely build a new bond....with another nice yellow aerie...

I could not personify her. She was just another trike to me.

However - she has carried me true from Potties to Numbi, Numbi to Standerton, Standerton to Potties. Before that, she took me in freezing conditions to Brits, and helped me to wake up TC on a Sunday morning. Also, and most importantly - she realised my life long dream of flying along the escarpment over God's Window! As a temptress, she has made her mark..

Although - since she is a woman, (**) things have been a bit difficult - she with the demands, me not able to provide hangarage, she with the funny business about not flying straight and true from the word go - and initially trying to kill me! :!: etc. etc.

At least - I now KNOW that she is a woman - and I can act accordingly. Long ago - while I still had GeelKerneels, I made some moves on her to try and personify her. Everytime she gave me shit, I remembered that she is new and unproven, and "I still have Geel Kerneels - so stuff you."

This is changed now, since Geelkerneels's departure... So I will now lay all my love on her - and also - name her. ( The name just would not take earlier - she was probably too upset about sharing my love)

But we can now revisit, and patch up.

1. She is getting a wing make-over to make her more sexy. This from her demands of a better house. :?
2. Since she is now the only trike in my life - we will revisit the naming from attempts way back when; (**)

THUS: The Cobra to be flown back from the Eastrand in a couple of months, will be topless, sexy, loved, and NAMED. WITH her own title song. She will also have the ability to shift her sexy wing as her mood pleases, and NEW COMMS - since she will be living in a CTA, and would like to be heard clearly and loudly - as is the nature of women. More love I cannot give at this stage - but I trust my efforts will help her to love me back!

Her name and logo will also be applied as "nose-art", as seen below: (This should help me in scoring some brownie points:)

Gentleman - I give you "Witchy Woman". Softness, mixed in with some wicked tendencies. There for me to love, and tame. xxx xxx

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAfIiYQoJho

New Bonds will be Grown. New Legends will be Created. New Love will be poured over a piece of machinery. (At least this time it will be female - with the pro's - but also the demands of a woman... (**) (**) )

Dudes - one lesson I have learned - if you built personal relationships with trikes - you can only own one at a time.!!!  ## ##
And so this months old post became true tonight. I have a "all legit" yellow Woman on my doorstep. I cannot sleep. "It" is standing outside - and "it" is a "she." And she is named. And - walking out my front door every 20 minutes - I see something new that needs to be done. Not to make her fly better, just to make her prettier. Although Geel Kerneels will always be my first trike - there is a VERY sexy Yellow Witch standing two steps away from my front door.... Let the loving begin! Me and my "Witchy Woman" will rule the skies over Poloks - us being the only trikers on FAPP. And soon, you will be seeing the most shiny and adorable YELLOW weightshift-machine in the country!

I should probably go and sleep now - no wait - I'll rather spend another 30 minutes outside, just taking in the beauty of my "Witchy Woman" - sleeping in front of my door!  I'm gonna be tired tomorrow..... But in my defence: I am being seduced by: "Raven Head, Ruby Lips, Sparks Fly Of Her Finger Tips.." Yet another machine has fallen victim to my brand of twisted love! Geel Kerneels and The Witchy Woman will have LOTS to talk about, next time they meet...

Polokwane Civils have added one trike to her squadron of aeries this evening...

(^^)

She's sitting snug as a bug at the back of Leon's hangar - as if that little spot was MADE for her. Leon's Ibis in front without any interference or hassles from The Witchy Woman. Both planes have a wing walker - to get her in or out from behind the Ibis takes 5 minutes without breaking a sweat!

Not even a ten minute drive to my trike...

Leon thinks that his hangar looks "impressive" now...I tend to agree!!

Leon - weer 'n keer - DANKIE! :!:

It is good to have a trailer. Yes. For when you ABSOLUTELY have to trailer. Like when you prang and your buddies must come and help you.

But topless or not - it is a SCHLEPP! And your heart cringes every 10 minutes or so...

Glad I have the trailer.

Trailer will stand for looong periods. I'll only trailer when I go to Beginsel in December for a month, cause I know about the early morning CB's over the highveld. And I don't want to do a 200 mile leg when I know what might happen in summer..

Trailering aircraft is for the birds!

PS: Bundy, two things: 1. You can buy me a puppy as long as it is a pure-bred BLACK Labrador bitch. I will name her "Roftie", in honor of my last dog. (^^) 2. Swaziland? Lets just say that flying from Sodwana has given me enough time to admire their over-grazed, poverty-stricken countryside in the past from 8000ft..

Great job james, I hope the performance is everything you have been hoping for and more.

Gaan vlieg nou jou wetter! vhpy
