Hiya Demon

The "Demon has spoken - I am not worthy" was meant as a compliment to what you had said
May i suggest you find another forum to vent your personal attacks, complaints about microlights etc on.
This is a pro-microlight forum after all.
Many of us choose to fly microlights rather than large aircraft cos its more fun, rather than transport...
This is a great forum, - lets keep it that wasy
Join the discussion in a decent manner, and you are welcome....
..... and I say again - ^*^^

Demon

I think the forum is just going through a bad patch until all the uncertainty around certain issues are sorted out (hopefully).

At the moment it is a place where people can give vent to all the frustrations and anger that they might be experiencing during this time - not a bad thing I think.

Apart from one or two people being out of line (and I don't think they are microlighters anyway) I still find the forum a great place to share information and news.

If I want to pick a fight I go to Avcom.

Lost direction -

Perhaps in that the crank issue and Part 24 have passed go 30 times. Just goes "round and round" leaving amateurs baffled and anxious.

Perhaps in that 3 newbies are posting a lot of negative stuff - ban them  They will come back with new identities when they are ready to toe the line.

Other than that, the forum is active, educational, amusing and a nice place to be.!!!!

Yip I agree, i wake up in the morning, log on while lying in bed and drinking coffee, again when @ work abouth 45 min later and it stays open during the day. My day would be horrable without microlighters - its my way of coping and getting through the day, anyways, in kuruman there isnt anybody as keen about flying especially trikes than myself and it does get frustrating sometimes because there is nobody else to share my passion - working on that though!, microlighters provide me with that feeling of being part of a special group of people. No serioulsly - microlighters is tops!

Who needs Facebook when we have Microlighters?

I can't start or end my day without popping into the forum. Lets face it, it's like a drug! Okay, lets "kiss" and make up  Luv ya all to bits okay?

Sent a mail to RSG this morning. Colin Jordaan was the speaker. Sadly he did not address my question regarding Part 24 but it seems the chap is quite busy and I must say trying to get ON TOP OF THINGS! He is a seriousy capable person and I have faith that he shall be the catalyst in solving all these gripes re. ROTAX & NTCA. It is also apparent that he is appointing capable people to address serious issues within CAA which in turn can solve many frustrations for us as aviators! The chaps like David Daniels etc. that are really trying to get solutions to the gripes we have we can only humbly say THANK YOU .... ^*^^

As for forum bashing and retaliation - -0< correct me if I'm out of line...

Guys i think that right now alot of us are in a negative state thanks to Eskom, CAA, Utilities, Crime and SA in general and that obviously affecting the forum.
But come on lets not panic, we still live in a fantastic place with amazing flying and we we have a wonderful mix of open minds that can share ideas, like on this forum.
And we have the guys that are trying to fix the CAA issues so yes right now alot of stress build up but lets keep it together and im positive in a few months time this will all be sorted. vhpy vhpy

And here I thought that it was only some Avcom members that love to insult people on an open forum....it looks like the disease has spread to microlighters....what a pity

I know you have apologised Airlaw but the comments about Henni and CFD were totally uncalled for. Although I am not an MPL I would have no problem with flying with any member of this forum. Hence why I follow the forum with interest. If I were you I would first meet some of the members before you criticise them.

I admit . . . I am a Microlighters junkie. If I could only spend as much time in the air as on the forum. This is probably why my wife forced me into agreeing not to access the forum before the kids are in bed (which I am in breach of right now). :) :)

Imagine how difficult it would be to challenge the Part 24 issue without the forum to unite our views and strenghten our case.

After a telephone call this morning I am feeling positive again. Sounds like the proposed amendments are nearing their completion and that if accepted we will be back to ops normal (pre 1 Jan). And then we can provide the answer to this topic - which will be a 'NO'

Apparently our Aero Club boss is meeting with the commish himself tomorrow.

I does tell you - if these proposals are accepted that every single oke had better join Aero Club/MISASA.
