Thanks DF. I will try that next time. I must admit that my worst bumps were closer to home and not over the Magalies ridges.
Rooihuiskraal was particularly bad.
Not bad nav hey...no GPS or compass!

I didn't let the bumps get me down. Went to Microland this afternoon and wanted to fly. Waited out the surrounding storms and even saw Tjoek there (he has a beautiful Cobra). He threw the towel in went home. I had to take my son for a flip as he is going for an op and will be in plaster for 3 months.
We eventually managed 20 mins of flying. It was great and smooth. restored my confidence a bit. My first "passenger" since I got my license.

Great meeting you. Glad you managed to do some flying. Trust your son enjoyed it. Good luck with his operation.

My son loved it and the weather was perfect. Wind absolutely died right down.
