Download "shrinkpic" (free)...resizes automatically on upload...very easy to use. I'm also IT challenged so can vouch for it. Easily disabled if not needed too...

What I do not understand is that under certain section we can post larger pics but not in hangar talk or members projects. If the pics sizes can be made to say 300 or 400 kb then you can atleast see what is being presented. Some guys have great pics but because of the 100kb restriction you cant see a thing. ....very annoying and makes me not lus to even try and write or story and show of some pics.....

Die belangrikste rede is dat jy so versigtig moet wees wat jy sê en hoe jy dit sê want daar is altyd n ou wat wil "smart wees en probeer slim wees" Ek was op Jaracal die jagters forum en sal nooit weer my my "voete daar weer sit nie". Oom Paul. Ek gaan nou n klip inibos gooi maar iets wat ek agter gekom het is dat daar nuwe ouens op die forum kom iets plaas en dan word daar geen terugvoer gegee. Ek gaan nou hierdie as n goeie voorbeeld gebruik. Ek weet ongelukkig nie hoe om die quote wat die ou gesê oor te bring nie miskien kan een van ons kollegas wat minder gestremd is as ek ons daarmee help. Die kort en lank van die saak is die ou het baie geesdriftig op die forum begin en sy plek aangebied vir ouens om heen na toe te vlieg en raad gevra oor die wetlike vereistes. NIEMAND het eers die moeite gedoen om n eenvoudige antwoord eers vir die man te gee nie dit was Sept. 2012 kort daarna die einde van Sept 2012 was die ou se laaste besoek aan die forum. Dit laat n mens net wonder. Ek dink dat die moderators meer betrokke moet raak want soos ek dinge verstaan kry hulle eerste die boodskappe deur. Microlighters is still our primary forum and source of info... Facebook will never ever be able to replace that. It's much like a Twitter feed.

Mainline information posted on Microlighters, gets posted on Facebook.

One advantage Facebook has over Microlighters is the Events function but that's about it.

I haven't been as active the last couple of weeks as have been really preoccupied with work and of course behind the scenes MISASA stuff.

The forum relies on you the member as contributor to newsworthy items for interest or discussion!

DarkHelmet is the boytjie funding the forum and hosting by means of various sources of income of which one is the Google ads. MISASA has previously allocated funds for Microlighters and is available should it be required... so, the forum won't die because of funding!

Wingover1 has a very valid additional cause for the decline in posts and visits on this forum. Certain people got very personal and worked up over some of the postings, to the point where the moderators had to delete some postings and even lock some threads. This may have driven them away? Some moderators even resigned from their position.

If a facelift will not solve much, then maybe it is a few bad run ins with some of the postings that is driving the Microlight pilots away from this forum. Being a web based forum it surely has the same availability and reach as other web based forums. Then why go elsewhere?

Every public gathering (forum) always, at some stage, has its small group of individuals that cause k@k. If persistent, they must just be dealt with, before they drive away others. Maybe oversimplified, but, in principle.

Tribal, I use a program called "SimpleResize". It is for free in the iStore. There are many free ones, but somehow I chose this one.
