Hi Madman

The  Idea  is actually to fly to a Lodge and stay over like the Guys do at Battlefields. ($$) (^^) ($$) (^^)
That is my Goal to get to do that with a group of guys. :-(-(
I have a special tent And all the Kit for a full outing all the right size to fit on my back seat (Or front in case of Sunbird) ## ##

But yes that is a good Idea, a flight out to a place like a farm in Potch or something like that :?: :?:

Morning,

Now that sounds like a fun trip...I like Potch..and there is a lodge on the opposite side of the airfield..I know this coz I used to skydive in Potch and if we never slept in the clubhouse or outside..we slept at that lodge... :-)

Trekkers I think it is called :?:

Hi TC

Weather was not great, but it was open on the southern side of carletonville, flew from klip but turned back 7 miles out of Carletonville, very bumpy ride today, but hey, notch up for experience.

Jip that’s what I thought

Heard someone over the radio saying there is a lot of mist between Rustenburg and Swartruggens (**)

I went up this morning and it was ok but at Vaalkop Dam it was a bit bumpy

Went to look at the dam wall at Roodekoppies Dam but decided not to land as the “runway”/wall is very narrow and there was a bit of a crosswind – next time

Hi Tribal

Yea Low cloud on the Ridge and the valley was full of the stuff that can cause you to have a very Bad Day :-(

Cloud base was at 5400/5500 and less than 200 feet above the ridge so decided not to take a chance.

And yes it was me - the GPS says i was in the air for 1 hour - Felt like 15min.
Also tried to go to Roodekoppies but could not see more than 2 miles so also made a 180 and returned to Aeroden for a breakkie.

Hi Tailspin

Look about the same at Roodekoppies from above (**) I was thinking about landing at Kokariba but saw some cloud moving in from the north so I decided to pull bar and get back home

Aeroden’s breakfast looks like a big smiley vhpy vhpy I will have to pop in there some time soon ##

Was thinking of going to Kokariba for Breakfast but yes i was on the otherside of that dark cloud bank so that is when i also did the 180 and went back.

No worries soon we will get our chance - as winter sets in and the WX becomes cold and crisp.
