Ok guys, the 15th of November has been confirmed as our end-of-year Christmas theme braai. Mervyn has gracefully accepted to be Father Christmas.

Please bring a present for your child, not too big or heavy (new 582 for me please) and limited to a max price of R 200 per child. They must be wrapped and clearly marked with your child's name and delivered the day before. You can either deliver to Microland, Mervyn Rynolds, or to me or to someone else who can take it out to the airfield before the 15th. If you could also bring, on the day, some Christmas crackers and please wear festive clothes. We will supply Christmas hats and our gazebo. If you have a smallish Christmas tree or two, please bring them. Extra fold up chairs may also be a good idea.

Please let me know if you are coming and how many children we can expect. We really want this to be a fun thing for the whole family. Bring your kids...grand kids and grown up kids.

Like last year, we also want to give Johannes a Christmas food hamper or two. If you feel you want to give something then please bring it on the day. (^^)

Please see the 3rd Saturday of the month braai thread for more details.

Thanks Al for organizing the meeting this morning. If all keep to their commitments then we were successful. At least all our concerns have been minuted and some plans have been drawn up. (^^)

After 120 hrs AMH coolant in the bottle went blue. According to the maintenance schedule changing should be done at 150 hrs?.. Anyway, AMH now has fresh coolant in her system...I just wish there was a less messy way of draining the old coolant. ##

Thanks to all those who attended, as well as the ones who gave me their apologies, I really appreciated your involvement Sir's (^^)

I have sent minutes out to those who did attend.

If you are a tenant at FABA and could not attend for whatever reason but would like to know what was discussed, then pop me a pm with your e mail address and I will forward you a copy.

On another note, there has been very little response from you Tailwinds regarding the Christmas braai??? :(

Please chaps, I would hate for this day to be cancelled due to non rsvp's.....PLEASE go to the events section and give your feedback regarding both attendance and catering as those doing all the legwork cannot plan something without knowing how many will attend?

Come on guys! (!!)

A painters dropsheet (2m x 3m) works very well for this. You get them at virtually any big supermarket or hardware store, they cost about R7.00
Tie it up or tuck it in against the seats behind the pylon so that it lies underneath the engine and then fold the bottom ends into a bucket or tray to catch the coolant. vhpy

Thanks Al. How do I prevent the engine mount from being drenched and then running down the supports. I would like something that catches the waste liquid where it comes out of the engine, I.e. Before it lands on anything. I thought of cutting a special funnel that fits inbetween the drain plug and the engine plate. In the very very limited space.

Had a lekker flight this morning. (^^) No one else around though. puff

We will unfortunately not be able to attend this weekends Fly and Braai. :(> We will be in the low veld. vhpy Will someone else please bring the green salad. Please also discuss and get support for the Christmas event next month. The response so far has been non existant. Maybe finances are too tight to have one this year. :(>

Oh that's easy...you just buy an Aquilla 2 and then that is not a problem....

You may need to use 2 dropsheets on that mount of yours Paul....Ill show you next time I'm talking crap in your hanger. (^^)

Pictures taken of a trike wing with the sun behind it are always good....but then you have to also be a good photographer....and it helps if you are the owner. ^
