Gee whiz, R410k for a trike is quite a bit of loot - might be pricing yourself out of the SA market

Hi Nkwwazi

If you look at what you get it is way cheaper than any microlight in its class and with every thing in and power trim the price is good! We can build it to what you want in, this is the full up price. There are nice things we do with a 582 (custom) you must understand that the price goes with the engine, body, wing, trim and instruments.

Careful about saying u will beat fixed wings. You obviously havent looked at fixed wing performace lately. If you exclude the Bantams, savannahs, etc, there are plenty fast and reasonably priced fixed wings around. Most cruise easily at 110+ knots!
I was really hoping that you had come up with a well priced local brand that os safe and performs. Unfortunately I have to agree with Brett. If I am spending over R400k it will be on a GT 450.
Good luck with the trikes John!
My 5 cents.......

Hi Andreb

Thanks for your input but we are talking about the average plane "MPL & LSA" not all of them! And if you want to spend your money on an import it’s your decision. Remember the spares issue! This trike did better than a GT so in basically every thing and that includes the tests so? This is local and in Rand! I think you must sit and look at the big picture! Don’t forget there are 3 of them to look at with deferent prices to cater for as many pilots as we can!

You must not forget to look at the price of engines, ext. deduct that from the price????

They can be seen for the first time on the Cullivest, after that the 582 will start its work in a school.

NB!Yes you must think carefully a GT is not over 400k its over 500k know! Not the price alone but with delivery in SA and all you need to fly it “Instrument & coms ext.” You will be looking at over 500k to 550k.So now you have a deference of more than 100k? I don’t now about you but I can do a lot with 100k and have an excellent good trike! 8)

I agree with Brett....R410k is very steep for local trike, considering you can get top of the range GT450 for a little bit more. I know what I would buy!
Good luck, but I think you going to struggle to get buyers.

Hi Guys

I wrote “we can do the race but when we are ready”, please relax guys. I also would like to see the Thunderbolt ST go up against the QuikR. We are still busy with the Thunderbolt has you can see on the photo so give it time guys. Remember this is still the prototype and with all the changes we made, we must test again.

Sorry! If any body feels that I stepped on there toes, I did not mean to.

Does anyone know if there has been any progress with this new trike? Things seem to have gone quiet.....
