Hi Bad Nav
Which hospital and who is trikenut?
It was amazing, no doubt, and I will be pleased to write about it.
Mike
I had a deep vein thrombosis which developed into a pulmanary embolism. Basically the clot moved and burst in my lungs.
Well Leftseat nearly "left" us by having a deep vein thrombosis! He landed up in hospital.... As for young Trikenut - Pic's Please should be his forum name.

Oh my lord, sorry Andy... even worse mate!

I have sent you a PM. I am sure all would love to see an article in Microflight Africa .... well, you did come down Africa didn't you! I think we all envy you for having the balls to have done what you did and having had the opportunity to experience awesome scenery! (^^)

Mike,

I agree with Bad Nav. This story needs to be told with pics. What an adventure.

And yes I also agree that Trikenut needs to change his name.

Cheers,

Andy

Don't worry guys... I'll post the final article for all to read!

To get the Mag, you have to join MISASA!

No, I think anyone can join MISASA... (I have a PPL and am going to join. Was a member of SAPFA which is affiliated to Aerosport...) especially with the shift in the LSA categories!

Go to their website www.misasa.co.za or check out the links on the forum's BOARD INDEX at the bottom!

Hi all....

An edited introduction to Mike & Fernando's story will be in the Easter Edition of Microflight Africa! I have compared them to Ewan McGregor & Charlie Boorman... such a pity that they didn't document this trip on video! :(

The unedited version is on www.misasa.co.za and makes excellent reading of this epic journey! (^^)

I am sure we take our hats of to these two adventurous aviators! ^*^^

s059 were with them all the way!
