Phew, thought it was only me.

Mansfield and Co are as entertaining and funny as SABC Morning Live. My criteria is reception, so its "The fing is..... Darryn for me"

Asked my son when Radio 5 Fm was 'squatterred' and he said I'm just getting old.

Knew of a consortium including prominent DJ's from the 80's and 90's with funds to start a solid Gold/ Rock station and could not by any means get a radio licence.

My grandfather used to take us into a small room and make us face the door. He called it Elevator Practice

Radio and broadcasting - it is a fickle industry. Just ask Agent - I am sure he will agree.

What 94.7 and other radio stations are interested in is their ratings and audience sizes as this is what translates eventually into income. So with this in mind they will do whatever they can to grow the audiences within their parameters. For instance the 94.7s. Jacarandas et al are all middle of the road stations (MOR) and their licence conditions may limit them to some degree in format, choice of music styles etc.

The audience size is surveyed by organisations such as AMPS and RAMS and these are fairly well regarded even in international circles. So until their surveyed audience sizes start to decline, they will keep to their 'formulas'.

Now that is a name I haven't stumbled across for a good while. I was still on campus radio when I met him - he was always good to us.

I'm with Dish on this!

Big time!

The best breakfast show on 94.7 is when "the team" is on leave, and Jay takes over for them.

And as far as Stephen Wright goes "I can levitate birds, but no-one cares"

Hysterical

Am having to bring a serious amount of DVD TV shows with us because I have seen your standard of TV and it's pretty awful. MInd you and in fairness, what there showing here is now #rap except when showing repeats.

Better things to do than TV guys like watching Rugby maybe hehehehehe

Uncle Spud,

do you include DSTV? There are 4 BBC channels on there, plus all the movies, sport documentary etc. SABC and ETV are putrid
