Some more info - Implementation Date of 1st November might be a bit too close to resolve accrediting Training Schools, etc.
Aeroclub will probably issue these licences...

Nothing has changed here

There will still be a standard Microlight 3-axis rating. The limitation will be a MAUW of 450Kg. All the Bantams, Thunderbirds, Challengers etc will remain in this catagory. In both cases your conversion is going to entail hours with an instructor again to learn the technique of flying 3-axis over trike. There is a vast difference, but IMHO 3-axis is easier.

You willl still get there

You will be able to fly an Airbus A380. it all depends on the hours conversion and the money your dad has.

A trike licence does not automatically allow you to fly anything else. You will have to do a conversion, this will take as long as you require to go solo on the next rating, i.e. on a Microlight 3-axis you might only need 10 hours, but on a Sport plane maybe 20 and on a Cessna 35hours. Your biggest limiting factor is money and your own abilities.

So how does an MPL limit you?
As far as I understand, with an MPL you can load no more than 450Kg and your aircraft has to be under 250Kg empty weight??

MAUW 450 KG min empty Weight 260kg, 2 seats stall speed 65km/h

But a trike MPL and 3-Axis MPL are not the same. Like I said, you will have to convert

So did any of these workshops take place?

So looks like Part 62 delayed to next year Feb (probably at earliest).

Some of the scuttlebut I have heard is that it looks unlikely that the weight limit will be pushed up to the 600kg mark so the LSA licence may not materialise after all. Anyone have any other info?
