 A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning :
There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The pig sympathized, but said, I am so very sorry, Mr.Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray.

Be assured you are in my prayers."
The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital , and she returned home with a fever.

 Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main

Ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbours came to sit with her around the clock.

 To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died.

 So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness. :?

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

"Be Strong In The Lord"

Yes, storms will still roar around us
But our God is still near,
And with Jesus as our shepherd,
We never need to fear.

What a wonderful God, when trials comes
Who do we turn to? What do we say,
It's Jesus we find with arms opened wide,
I'm here, My Child, right by your side.

He knows each time the sparrow falls
Sometimes it's wings do break,
Each time we find ourselves hurting,
Always to Jesus our hurt we can take.

Jesus today looks down upon your life
Each kindness you do, just pleases His heart,
Be strong and courageous in all you do,
Jesus is with you, He will see you through.

The good life is peace that comes from above
He shows us daily with His tender Love,
We need to grow strong, and depend upon Him,
Each new day, sweet blessings He sends.
Growing old is far more dangerous than flying !!!

Bennie

You bring tears to my eyes......

Luv ya stukkend .....

I hope that somewhere in this year we could have a reasonably central fly-in for contributors of microlighters forum! We can sit around a fire, have a toot and "hangar-talk" ..... Bultfontein?

The love of aviation and things that fly (not miggies, wasps & flies etc) is common ground and this seperates us from other normal people! It is a common denominator that bonds our friendships even though we might not even get on under other circumstances....

Who cares when some fat cat self enriched politician kicks the bucket.... but when a fellow aviator passes on or is injured, the solidarity in the aviation community proves itself!

My thoughts exactly.... Have an awesome aviation day and weekend to come!

Kroon

Postby andreb » Sat Mar 10, 2007 6:05 pm

Hi Guys

DieselFan and I flew in to Kroon this morning. Albeit by accident. I mistook for Aviatros Paradise. It was a bad day with the wind pumping and lot's of bounce. Took us ages to get home and being my firts solo outing with my new plane and since I got my wings, I was tempted to pack it in. It get's very lonley when you are wrestling with a bar and bouncing all over the sky...especially if you are having radio problem too.
Turned out OK and got back to Microland in one piece and a few more hours of experience under the belt. Thanks for the trip DF.
On a great note, we were given a wonderful welcome by Dawie and Andre at Kroon. These guys from Rosslyn Micro Flyers are fantastic. Because the wind was howling, they offered to hanger our planes for us. I urge more guys to pop in to Kroon for a fly in visit. They have great facilities and a nice long runway. Coffee is good and they make you feel right at home. THANKS GUYS!!

I will post some pics....
