    Ditto, but fact remains that for price of a Gyro you could have trike and 3 axis.

Hi RV, have you completed your convex for trike yet :?: When are they (CAA) changing them damn rules again, trikes are so cheap 2nd hand that it might make sense having one around the hanger for emergencies :P

Negative. I am under pressure at the moment. Tis the season of RPD shopping.... :? :? :? :? Plenty holes in roofs to fix. Will revisit in Jan. Need to find school that flies in afternoon, is easy to get to in traffic & would like try the 4 stroke before I go for a cheapie. I like the look of the imported types with the pods, but that just me. they all seem to fly well regardless, but I like the fairings and if it red it def goes faster......

But I fully agree...
I def gonna get a drie hoekie koelie koekie in da toybox for the (in my case) sundowner flips over harties. Need hangar space and I am there, especially since is Capt B giving them away    Like the look of Junkie's Flash and the price is right, but timing is bad

I have been up in a few 3 axis jobs and a chopper or two. I love flying and they are nice, but I still love my trike (ada laaik ada laaik).

I will go 3 axis when I need to travel, the opportunity for that is probably on my doorstep with a current client needing to travel to the far northern province, BUT, the 10 minutes I spent in the air on Sunday morning made me docile for the week to come. Triking is in me for the duration of my flying life, I will not trade it... I will however uptrade my aerie... push the limits and explore my envelope even further...

Hi Rooikat.

Pilots stall and 'spin-in' in fixed wing aircraft.

Anyway, I support Demon's sentiments about trikes and slow flying wind in your face and bugs in your teeth sentiments fully. It is just such a jol.

About whipstall and tumbles etc., just do some basic accident statistic research for yourself, and see which types keep on having 'whip-stall' as probable cause of accident. Solution, stay away from those types.

Millions of hours flown on trikes, world wide. Fatalities as a statistic are negligable. As a tragedy, however, every one really unfortunate and sad.

lafter,
David Daniel

Demon, if in the PE area - best you take me for a flip in that turbulence-smootheriser of yours. I really also got gatvol for hanging on in the coastal turbulence in a trike.

Must say - I do miss the trike on a smooth day along the beach.

Trikes are cool and the social side is good- but Gliding is also an awesome way to fly and most glider clubs have a good social life-
The one nice thing about gliding is that you dont have to buy a plane -all glider clubs have aircraft for the members to fly- @ Brits whre I fly you can rent a single seat glass glider R150/hour and a 2 seat K7 for R120/hour- Try it you may get hooked :D
Flying flying flying-- and a bit of gliding
