all fly by wire I guess
Correct, no more control column, only a little sidestick. ^ The aircraft is flown through a number of computers, pretty much like a computer game. (!!) This obviously makes the whole operation very efficient, and with all the safety bells and whistles also a very safe operation.

In spite of all this nice technology I still have the desire to really fly an aircraft, and therefore ventured into the "dark"   side of aviation, and started to fly trikes, to get involved in aviation at "grass root levels" (not altitude wise).
And yes, the conversion was very interesting (**) (**) (**)
And the friendly dolly at the CAA could not understand #-0 why I would want to fly trikes. I tried to explain, but she could not understand. When I left the CAA she was still shaking her head in disbelief. ## ## ##

Hello Arnulf!!

Flying with us from Springs is Captain Dale from British Airways. When anybody asks him why he flies microlights,he just says, during the week I operate an aircraft from point A to B like a bus. On weekends I really fly..

On my desk, look out for:

Go-Kart Racing Medals
Karretjies for court presentations
3D Modeling and Animation Parafernalia
Freedom Flight by Alan Honeyborne and Ricki De Agrela
Joystick for Flight Sim
Pedals for Flight Sim
Many Accident Reconstruction Books!
My Notebook, with TV signal (DSTV)
Crime Watch Radio (where all the k@k happens!)
