Hey Saraf,

I saw you overhead Melkbos yesterday

Basically coming from FAFK you should be on 124.8 until the N7. Here you change to 124.4 since you are entering the GF FAD200(we refer to it as Delta 200). very shortly you will cross the R27, here you change to 125.8 (Cape Town special rules west)

BTW no flying over Koeberg unless you are above 2500ft AMSL

Dropped off 6 copies of the map CD with Hannie at FAFK. One reserved for Biggles, Saraf and John respectively; 3 left up for grabs, first come first serve basis.

Cheers,

V.

According to Aeronautical Map 3317 CAPE TOWN the FAR36 (Koeberg) has a 2000GND/GND restriction. This meant that you could fly over Koeberg without talking to ATC between 2000 and 2500ft. However, since the TMA "A" has been dropped to 2000ft recently, you may not fly over Koeberg now without talking to ATC. Technically there is a small northern section of the FAR which has uncontrolled area (where the TMA "B" FL085/ 4500ALT) lies over the FAR. See pic:

Don't worry about money, the blank CDs cost next to nothing and I had my maps CD anyway.

Guys, there are still some map CDs sitting with Hannie at FAFK. I reserved one for John Arnold, Bacchus, Biggles and saraf (saraf already collected). Anyone else, just ask Hannie, the remaining copies go on a first come first serve basis. They're all free too! :)

Cheers,

V.
