I like you version more Joninmoz :DTo be honest I changed a few words in the quotation . These are the words attributed to King Henry V on the eve of the battle of Agincourt which was (really) fought on 28 October 1415.
Are you Johnathan, or the Seaguls?

Think bottom line is sky is big enuff for both Jonny and the Gulls. And it OK to be just a gull, but maybe you not havin as much fun as Jonny is...
Most fun I have had in any aerie has been Phucking around with Demon and the Ritties guys on a couple (far too few) local jaunts... Microlighting is cheap enough to do when you like for no reason at all. Enjoyment seems to be the key. If the motivation is low and flying is a chore then maybe you should go fly around the patch focussing on nothing other than flight.... Best flights I have had have been to nowhere to do nothing for a couple hrs...
I have done a couple flights where when asked where I went and what I saw I can't answer without thing about it for a while...
. Just enjoyed the company (sometimes only my own) and the ability to do what few can....
KEEP THE FAITH.
PS
There is a time and place for low flying. If you don't like it don't do it. As D said. Fly within your limits and ENJOY it. Flying is different for all. Some are relaxed (slapgat) others are Parraat (Anal), but as long as you safe/confident what's the problem? ENJOY IT.....

My posting was much more of a leg-pull than anything else. I phoned FF last night and we had a good laugh.demon wrote:So John Young is right, FF and Skygod are right as well....

Anybody in a trike care to try and follow Dave in his beloved Dragon?
Sometimes at La Mercy, the weather was so K@K that I didn’t want to get out of the car, never mind open the hanger and in the spirit of Johnathan, you hear Dave call “Turning finals†in a trike or whatever he had chosen to fly that day.
Like I said, I am happy to be mere seagull at this stage, although I do enjoy watching and talking to the Johnathan’s of this world.

Thanks for the nice words, John
If you remember the story of Jonathan, he was ostracized by the seagulls who did not want him to fly for the love of flying.
I don't you are not a seagull if you fly safely and within your own boundaries. Those boundaries are different for different people at different times in different aircraft.
You are a seagull if you shoot other people down who fly outside the box you limit yourself to.
