Saw this guy last week in Mauritius ## ##

He quoted me 8400 Rupee for 1 hour = +/- R2400.00 (**) (**)

Only one on the island and taking advantage of the tourist :twisted: :twisted: Just a indication petrol goes for 50 Rupee = +/- R14,51 per liter

That looks awesome! That was my dream 20 years ago, hence the TBird on floats earlier in this thread.

Did a number of in depth proposals to DCA Mauritius at the time and went to many meetings with the deputy director of aviation in Mauritius

The amount of effort, time and expense at the time came to nothing. They promised the earth and I never got the licence. At the time only three licence were to be granted.

The red tape was back breaking. Got to know the deputy director of DCA Mauritius well and visited his home a number of times and he visited me in SA a number of times as well.

Eventually abandoned the idea.

Great to see that someone got it right. Stunning place to fly.
