Re: MISASA Tedderfield "Spoilt for Choice Fly In / Expo"
This is Awesome... I will be doing the drive in, as I am not flying yet, but this sounds like the greatest opportunity for someone like me who will be looking at purchasing a trike in the future...
I hope there will be a bunch of trike suppliers there...
Cheers

All I can say Craig is chuck that "fling wing" in your Avatar away and come join our world!
The Shootout is basically to showcase as many different aircraft within the same class and price range... The final choice remains...as always ....yours

This sounds awesome
Would have loved to fly in and take the price for the best looking bird
but my baby will still be on the waters
So we will definitely be driving in for this one

I think the suppliers, vendors etc. should if they do not have such a setup, consider displaying their goods in at least a GAZEBO or maybe even a tent...
We also hope to have RAASA / ATNS representation.... who knows?
But then sir.... how may we refuse your presenceOf course!

I have an easy shade, but if there's a gazebo it'll be a better place for vendors to show off their goods.
If you need sound equipment or music, I can help out. Free, of course.
Just holler

Will also be driving in myself, as my trike's still in dire need of repair.

Re: MISASA Tedderfield "Spoilt for Choice Fly In / Expo"
Yes please re the sound and or music system. Please e-mail me at nemo@webo.co.za - or post it here - re what you can assist with. The music would be good for the evening hangar talk and the sound system good for the moot court when people are given turns on the "soap box" and for the supplier presentations - we now only have 2 slots left for formal presentations - after these are gone suppliers will be encouraged to participate but they must erect their own display ( aviation stand or flea market / smousing stand etc - the more the merrier - who can resist a toffee apple - even if it flies badly ) in the area where the aircraft entries are displayed. If we get a huge response - we will hire another marquee. If you want to sell toffee apples or koeksisters - just be sure to tell John that they fly! there is no qualifying conditions - it's a fun day for like minded people - their family and friends. What's wrong with the
RONDLOOPENDEPENSWINKELTJIEMANNETJIEMETDIEWARMSAAAMOOOOSAS! KOM KOM DIS BALKE TOE!
We are spending a wack on the stage show as I do not think that pilots want to boogie to a disco - so - they do English and Afrikaans renditions and the shows I have seen them do were awesome - bring the family.
Also if anyone can get good Marquee , table and chair hire quotes please do get the suppliers to e-mail me, Alan Hussey or John Boucher. If many want to sleep over maybe we should do late night movies ?

Re: MISASA Tedderfield "Spoilt for Choice Fly In / Expo"
Right Guys,
Just to clarify a few things.
After discussions with other members of the Commitee, and after a good response from our Supplier Community, the decision has been taken to set up a second "Presentation" area to enable more Suppliers to showcase their products/services. At my count there are still 13 (15 minute) slots avalable so please contact me asap to make sure you book your slot
1st Come First Served
Alan Mack will be updating the website....
http://www.weboonline.com//MISASA/websi ... p?catID=98
....as we allocate the slots so you can see who will be presenting what, where and when.
Furthermore, you are welcome to come set up a stand/gazebo of you own to sell your wares on the day subject to the following:
1: Your goods/services are Aviation Related (Anyone welcome)
or
2: If your goods are not Aviation Related, that you are at least a Misasa Member
Please PM or call me to book space and we will try our best to accomodate you.

Bundy, the objective is to promote our sport..right, why not target the aero modelers and also the hardly dangerous bikers ?
Several well placed emails may get a day out for interested parties and maybe a few flips will do the trick ?
please no second hand cars though...or chinese mall types..

Good morning all.... very little time for the MISASA Shoot Out at Tedderfield on the 4th February 2012
We would like an indication of attendance. This is for various logistical reasons and to plan a little better.
I know, no one is going to drop me a message and say - hey, I'm gonna be there...
so the reason for the poll.
Those attending.... kindly send me an e-mail at jb.brokers@gmail.com
