We used to smoke the tea-leaves!

In fact, we still do... "why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly?"

Back in the 1600's to solve the problem of having cannon balls rolling around on the deck of the ship, a brass holder was invented. It was triangular in shape and the cannon balls were stacked on top of eachother. It became known as a brass monkey. In winter, the brass contracted due to the cold temperatures, and the cannon balls would fall out of the brass monkey. Hence the phrase "its cold enough to freeze the balls of a brass monkey"

got another one, though not dagga leaves.... it's now paw paw pips... they taste quite spicy and did you know that if you dry them out and put them in your pepper grinder; it will pass as pepper and is much healthier.... :)
