The aircraft will have to be tested as well in terms of requirement contained in Part 24.01 and supported by the Technical Standards CATS-NTCA Part 24.01.2.A.7. for amateur built aircraft.

If someone can simplify that for me I will only have the time to check out act tomorrow afternoon.
Like someone said, this could be the beginning of the end. I say again, make dead sure from the engineering department that they have all the aicraft data on file. If they have none, then stay far away from the project unless you are an engineer or if you have money to throw at the project. If they do not have substantiating data for that aircraft type, you will have to supply all that according to a certification basis like the ASTM LSA or CS-VLA. This could be a very costly excercise. Ask us, we are/have been there.

This being said, Good Luck with the project.

Thanks for all the info Stephan, I have been in contact with FFP as well as some chaps who have also had similar obsticals and it seems that static load tests will have to be done. FFP is a great help though and are prepared to comunicate with any party and supply info in order to assist in any way. The chap over there named Paul gives super and I mean super service to the point of even discussing options and issues with me on a Sunday afternoon. So Im sure it will be atleast a month or two worth of extra effort with CAA but it will be worth it
