Excuse the rudimentary pic. I do this, two tent pegs per wing, then one front and one back

Maurice from Nigel makes an excellent tethering system similar to the claw - saved my plane at Belfast. PM me for his number

This works for me. Make sure that the tie downs are attached to a point that will not flex the wing struts.

OK, In response to Dish and having spoken with him today, we have tooled for a similar device, now we need a local supplier of the pins, they are 270 mm long 10mm diameter and pointed one end with a forged button head on the top. Most probably its the same pre form used before a hex head is applied. Most contacts I have made are limited to 150 mm capacity. Any body on the forum know of a manufacturer capable of producing pins to that length and specification?

We made the first sample today and have used the resources of "Ing" John Young.

Many Thanks Paul

As promised here is the mini Grippa and its big brother the Grippa. A perfect set for a trike is 2 x Grippas for the wing and 2 x Mini Grippas for the front and back. For a three axis 3 x Grippas will hold anything down.

Made in Ballito
