and I'm stuck on the keys to the box in the briefcase. What is the Gold bar for?

The gold bar is to hold down one end of a loose floor plank while you cut the string holding the plank down with the knife.
The 3 keys for the box in the briefcase are in the 3 safes (one safe is hidden and you need the UV light that is under the floor plank to find it)
