No, we were over Darling at 15:51. We were very high when we flew over Darling. I was making a airliner descend - will post the Garmin glidepath - quite spectacular. All in all it was a GREAT trip, with lots of help from Riaan (Lambertsbay) and of course my co-pilot Jaco. 100s of pictures I am going to bore you guys with, if you want.

Gert you are truly inspirational! Post me some banking details - I want ALL the unedited footage and sound and stuff PLEASE - post me a DVD or 3 and tell me what you need to cover costs! I have a buddy into the video making thing and if any of you have any more of this we could possibly make a VERY inspirational DVD!

Yours in flight!

DH

Post me you stuff to PO Box 339, Jukskei Park, 2153 - let us make a microlighters.co.za DVD...

Tested out the fuel gauge. Worse than before. Will not suggest using that (or Solowing's instructions on manual calibration) to anyone. BEWARE!

Landed at Voe"lvlei, what a bumpy last 150feet, and then all of a sudden windstill. Must be rotors coming over those mountains!

Gert,

I have the MGL Avionics fuel meter with Fuel Flow gauge. You can use it with or without a fuel level sensor. If you use it without, it requires a manual entry of fuel volumes evey time you refuel.

When I installed my 70 liter alu tank I had a tube type, resistive element installed. This I coupled up to the guage and manually calibrated it. There are six points of measurement so it caters for tanks of different shapes and sizes. Grab some of the wife's, measuring jugs, (don't tel her  ) and calibrate away. I am very happy with the results.

Had a great trip to Greyton with Trygve, Dick and Peter.

Like to hear comments, and if ANYONE reads my logs/look at my website?
