Hi Guys
My 20 Zim cents worth ...
Interest in aviation and microlighting in particular appears rather low.
If folk were really keen there are many trikes collecting dust in hangars that could be
acquired for a very reasonable price. I could rustle up a trike for the cost of a new set of tires
on my bosses car .... !
In general folk don't seem to get involved in much nowdays .... I have recently interviewed a number
of new graduates ..... none had a passion for anything ... (allways ask ... what they do in spare time)
The closest thing to a hobby was some very occasional fishing .... these chaps have cash .... just
no life :?

Paid the magnificent men and their flying machines at Morningstar Boys town a visit on Saturday morning. Morph was there first, then one by one they pitched up. And although the weather was crap for flying, nearly everyone was there. CFD was the only bloke to push his aerie out to go for a few circuits, but then he flies a Bushbaby. Second out was the Wilga, but it was not back when I left about 12. Then Oupa-G wanted to land Gunthers "new" Robin at Morningstar, but he had to abort, the wind was THAT bad. Nice to see even "Uber" pilots tuck their tails between the legs and make a bee-line for it. But then THAT is what makes Uber pilots. Setting good example: When in doubt, there is NO doubt, so you don`t. Always nice to move around between all the pilots and chatting. All the hangars have Toys in them. No really, model aeroplanes, for middle of the month flying when the budget is slim on the fly-for-fun petrol budget. vhpy All share a bit of concern. The Squatter camp opposite the N7 is in the way of a developement, so that have to be moved......to next to Morningstar. 2000 + squatters for neighbours....... SHIT. Morningstar is a very friendly place to visit. Do yourself a favour, if you are in the Fairest on a Saturday morning, with time to kill, go say hello. You will not leave soon. vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy Thanks guys, was nice to see ya all! (^^)

Why is it that squatters love airfields so much. Some airfields have already closed down - read been destroyed - because of squatters, and I've noted there is a lot of airfields with squatters for neighbours.

Airfields normally had lots of unbuilt area around them. Perfect thing for squatters. Then there are normally suitable building material(read corrugated iron) and voila - there you have it. Perfect squatter habitat.
Nuts about Cheetahs. Petit is the place.
