Trikes Over Hartbeespoort this weekend!!!

Postby Boeing » Mon Dec 08, 2008 4:29 pm

To the Guys flying over the Hartbeespoort dam area (Peacanwood Golf Estate), OWN UP! It made me very jealous although it was awsome to watch from the ground!
There was also a trike over the same area early this morning which got my flying bugs biting again! ## ## ##

Its been a while since I have last flown, or been on this forum, so would just like to ask where you guys are flying from and if there is a training school there? I have moved to Hartbeespoort dam for the next year and would like to finish my MPL in the area.

Can anybody point me in the right direction please?

Is this trike or 3 axis you wanna fly? If trike - Dawie du Toit - Rosslyn Microlflyers 082 57623fivefive- Probably about 7km from Harties, 3 axis you can do at Avaiators Paradise, prob 4 km from harties - Dale 082556359two
PS: Join us for a flight if you like

Sunday morning myself ZU-FLO and Pieter ZU-BXI flew in that area. Was a bit cloudy so we did not venture too far. From our club there were 6 planes in total flying Sunday morning in the Hartebeespoort area. We all fly out of Ingwe Airfield, used to be Laser, close to Centurion.
There are a few schools close to Hartebeespoort. The one is Aeroden approx 10km from Harties and the other is Centurion Flight Center. Aprox 30km away. Also Aviators and Roslyn Flyers

Thanks for the response guys!

Big D, Im currently busy with my trike MPL, (only have 5 Solo Hrs under the belt) but as I said, I have not FLown for about 5 Months and before that was even longer. Im Going to get in touch with the Schools that you guys have mentioned to get the ball rolling and to fininsh my Mpl and then hopefull buy a trike and join you guys!

If you are in the area with an empty seat on board, can we negotiate a deal? (I dont mean to just invite myself  )

Piet & Tracer, will look out for you guys again this weekend if the weather is good? ##

Again, thanks for the heads up guys!

Sound like you guys were having fun, next time you guys must come down to Magalies town and pop in for coffee at Crosswinds
The viz was great further down the valley towards Magalies, put in a 2 hour sorty xxx

Cool, approach is from the west over the drag strip. Just watch out for the telephone lines on the approach of 10
