The rand is healthy. low deficit, low government debt and believe me I am not a fan of the government and it has to do with the currency control which is normally shit but in the given situation a blessing. Now use the high price of gold and proceeds that come from that to pay of the dollar debt and you are strong!

Start exporting and get a new policy best man for the job and not based on color so we can prevent an other eskom and stop the brain drain! And sort out the land bank its even a bigger problem than eskom!

stop looking at the rand dollar. Rand, low government debt. No overspending. Maybe wrong spending but I will not comment on that. :wink:

So if you live in rand country stay in rand. Savings, spread dollar/rand/euro/swissfrank/singdollar. Overweight physical gold and euro.

As far as airplanes goes in 4 months time you can make a better judgment. The reason the dollar is running stronger is because people are unwinding investments. Prices will stabilize and I hope pricing of planes will drop because I am going to buy one lol and with people buying off plan we will see a lot of people not able to make the payments so its bargain hunting on planes, sport cars and girlfriend :mrgreen:
