Cali, that takes care of your first question, but it is great fun and is done, so how about those who accidentally drop their roll of toilet paper whilst blowing their nose in flight answering the second part of the question

You need to set the limits at what height the roll is thrown from and what the lowest height is the pilot can attempt his last cut.(sorry retrieval  ) The guys get so absorbed in trying to do the cutting(sorry again retrieval  ) that they forget how much height they are losing.

It is great fun though.

Cheers

This is like a Sunday morning ritual at our airstrip (lots of running noses in our part of the world......). Roll (single ply) is dispatched at 2000ft agl and pilot may only attempt cuts until 1000ft agl. Best I recall is about 8 cuts then there is sh!t left... . Better also know how to execute those perfect wingovers  lotsafun :P :P

Without being too contentious....

It seems we choose which laws and rules to ignore, depending on whether it is fun or not. Just like driving drunk, or stealing cars, or speeding, or buying black market CD's, or or..... then we complain about the taxi driver driving on the gravel and say things like 'they have no respect for the law," then we wonder why we get broken into, or hijacked.

I am no Angel and often have this same quandary.....just thought it was something worth mentioning and all of us thinking about. Following laws and rules is what makes civilised societies work.

A good topic, similar to the other 'Beat up'.

If it's gonna happen, at least give an understanding of what the other guy could expect.
