Cali FINALLY gets a trike
I finally bought myself a trike. I would have liked to get a GT450 or a DTA but I settled for a Airborne Edge X 503. It is all I can afford at the moment so I am happy as can be. I did 5.4 hrs of training last week and will do some more in two weeks time. I now have 18.6 hrs total and hope to go solo soon. I have done training in SA, USA and Australia. It is about bloody time I get my MPL

Re: Cali FINALLY gets a trike
Hey Cali, congrats. It really is about time.
Tell me is training quite different in the different countries. Will I need to redo my license when immigrating to Aus and where is the best flying spots in Aus, might be joining you soon. Just busy doing some homework.
Something else, how does the costs of MPL Trykes and 3 axes compare between there and over here in SA. Will it be worth the while for me to take my Bush Baby over there or should I sell and Buy one in Australia?

Growing old is far more dangerous than flying !!!

Re: Cali FINALLY gets a trike
Thanks Guys
Bennie. Training over here and in the US is the same as there only more expensive. You won't have to do your license again, but bring your baby with you if you can. They are a bit more expensive over here. As for the best flying spots... I don't know I am always working, but we have a spectacular coastline over here so anywhere will be fine.
Cheers

Congrats Cali,
Enjoy and be safe.
I wish you many happy safe hours in her.
Please take your camera with you when you go flying and share some of that scenery with us. (

Kind regards,
Gunter Rostek.

Hi Cali
Yip, it does seem like a long time.
Enjoy your new "baby" and I wish you many safe and happy flying hours. Good luck with finishing off your training.
Post some pics of your patch, please!
