I HAVE LOCKED THE THREAD.

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE INITIAL THREAD - I DO HOW EVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SOME OF THE COMMENTS MADE AFTERWARDS.

I must say, I didn't bother to read this thread because I saw it on Avcom and didn't think it deserved a response.

The primary function of Microighters is to provide a platform for like minded people to discuss aviation, and in particular Microlighting. Sometimes we have happy news and sometimes bad, i.e. the Part 24 fiasco. IMHO these items should be debated ad nasium on the forum.

I just do not agree with anything blatently political, racist and religeous that has the intention of inciting negative comment. The problem is this forum is open to all races, creeds, religeons, beliefs etc, and you will always stand the risk of offending someone.

That is NOT what microlighters is about. We are not a political tool.

Take a look at AVCOM for example to see how this sort of thing can and does get out of hand.
