It will make our lives a lot easier, cheaper to fly and proably less prone to engine failure- think about it: no plugs, no filters, no water cooling systems to fail, no fuel failures (eg carbs, hoses, pumps), .........

Just the bat flattery.....uuu...I mean a FLAT BATTERY every once in a while? You will get to be VERY good with engine out landings :!: :!: BUT still it is a gaint leap in the right direction. I am busy experimenting to have my verhicle run on water. Early days, but my eventual aim is to be able to FLY on water power alone.

At the rate that technology developes im sure that within the not too distant future this would be solved.......... they say (not sure who "they" are, but never the less  ), that technology has advance more within the last 50 years than it did for the 500 years previous to that.....

If Boeing are playing with it and investing time, reserach and money, i recon its definately worth a squirt within the forseeable future.....
