Hi Folk.
I am not sure where to write about this new venture, as it is not really a fly-in or event.... Anyway, please see
viewtopic.php?t=6697
The idea was born out of repeated requests from pilots who feel the need to explore our skies, but who just don't have the time or experience to plan these flights themselves. Also the look of longing on the faces of trike pilots when I leave them behind and head out on my own personal journeys.......
So that's where I come in. I supply all logistics and planning, and fly with the Aerotrekkers, leading and taking care....
It is my earnest hope that in a year or two, many pilots will look to their beloved trikes with new admiration, and start dreaming up their own aerotreks, capable of undertaking the journeys without my help....
I have some fantastic routes planned, from 'weekenders' to '4 week Kilimanjaro' to 'experience SA in 12 days!'
Regards

Great idea Dave , go for it , break barriers and rules and - unexplored and unknown by many - get Trikers back in the air .
The industry needs a shake-up , cabbage patching is boring , we have a great country , best viewed out of the seat of a trike
I am really get tired of my daily grind , me thinks and thinks maybe......

A pilot lives by perfection , or not at all!
It's great fun flying long distance. What you thought your country looks like is totally different from the sky. Unfortunately weekends are so damn short. In April i'll be flying down to Baviaanskloof for the 3rd time and twice before I said no way not again. One seems to forget about being tumbledried and mauled by bad weather and remember the pleasant. It's a pitty Stanley Island is not fly-in friendly venue anymore. Also a good trip. Now I see Carnarvon is cancelled this year too. So Lamercyfly, if you come down to the Cape to play, let us at Western Cape Microlight Club know and we will try and join you for a section.
I sometimes get confused............But i'm not sure

Awesome initiative.
I have done a couple trips from Coast to big smoke in small 3 axis (read slow). While it is a nice experience it K@K alone. Would be awesome to join a guided tour and Dave and the Shermans looked like they had a ball in Prieska in Dec so I rekon he the right bloke for the job.... Hopefully sometime in future I can join one of these.....
